David Beckham has enjoyed a great few months playing for AC Milan and England. His dreams of glory and prestige as a football player have been re-kindled. That is why I can't see him staying with the Galaxy. He may come back for a few months but that itch to play for England and play in the big leagues will be too strong for him. I see him getting out of his contract soon so he can concentrate on the 2010 World Cup.
I believe Beckham is a man of honor and he knows he made a commitment to the Galaxy and their fans and I believe he was genuine. But, after playing in the MLS and then going back to the world stage I think he realizes he came to the USA a little too early in his career. Five years down the road would be a better time for him. He will still be a good player and contribute much to the MLS. But for now, AC Milan and world soccer are calling his name. I believe he will heed the call.
