Be One of a Kind; Not One in a Million

In my presentations and seminars I stress how important it is for all of us to realize how unique we are.
Society is fascinated with looking like celebrities, eating the same kind of food they do, drinking the same kind of water, naming our babies after them. This comes from a need for recognition, a need to be noticed. But in reality we cannot be like other people. We can act like them but we cannot BE them. The reason is simple. Every one of us is unique. We are one of a kind. Notice I did not say one in a million. We are one of a kind. There is only one of us in the whole universe.

Stop trying to be something or someone you are not. Just be yourself. You have great talents and abilities. Most of you have  never allowed yourself to release those inner gifts. But you can. Here is how.

  • Accept the fact that you are one of a kind. There is no one else like you.
  • Accept the fact that you have much to contribute to society because you are one of a kind.
  • Accept the need to make changes in your life to be who you really are.
  • Accept the fact that change takes time but it is worth it.
  • Accept the fact that you can make a difference in this world through your deeds, your words, and your sharing of yourself and your gifts with others.
  • Accept the fact that there will always be naysayers in life. Those who try to drag you down.
  • Accept the fact that if people are trying to drag you down it usually means you are on your way up.
Just be yourself. You are unique.
